SCHOOL FEES 2024 -2025

At Hunsdon House the needs of the child come first. We aim to provide a loving, educational, and stable environment. Enrolling a child at Hunsdon House is a two way commitment. While our agreements are on an annual basis, revolving around the school year and curriculum, we hope for the child to be with us until the start of their primary school journey. Acceptance of a place at Hunsdon House is a commitment to a full school year (unless. starting mid-year). Each school year is divided into three terms: Autumn, Spring, and Summer.

Fees at Hunsdon House include all the costs incurred in the usual course of educating your children, unless otherwise specified. Nursery fees do not include lunch, nappies, or wipes.

Our fees rise between 5% and 10% at the start of Autumn Term each academic year. Fees are inclusive of European language immersion sessions and specialist Heuristic/Creative/Sensorial play sessions. Additional Pilates, Music and Dance sessions may be offered around £20 per session.

Registration and Deposit Fees - payable on application

Registration fee: £150 (non-refundable)
Deposit: £1000

Registration fees and deposits are payable on acceptance of a place.

The £1,000 deposit is refundable when a full terms notice is given in writing, before the current term ends. In example, if a parent gives notice to withdraw their child during the autumn term, the deposit will be returned at the end of the following term (spring).

If a pupil is withdrawn without one terms notice, the deposit will be retained along with any fees already paid.

Fees are to be paid four weeks before the beginning of each term. If joining during the middle of a term, payment is due when the place has been accepted.

Payment can be made by bank transfer, or credit/debit card. If paying by card, the invoice will also reflect the credit card processing fees.

Council Funding

Two, three, and four-year-olds may be eligible to claim up to 15, and in some cases up to 30, funded hours from the Oxfordshire County Council Early Years Education and Childcare Funding.

Each hour is funded at a rate determined by the council, and paid directly to Hunsdon House. The amount funded from the council goes towards the total term amount reflected on the invoice, with the remainder being paid by the parents.

More information and how to apply for funding can be found at the link below.

Oxford County Council Childcare Choices

Important note for parents: A child is not eligible to claim more hours than they attend. For example, if a child attends for 3 mornings, which is 10.5 hours a week, they are eligible to claim 10.5 hours from the council at the hourly rate the council funds.

As of April 2024, the council funds at the following rates per hour.
